The last of the Valkyries has fallen,
Alone into the world of men
Her eyes proclaimed the Revelation
Her lips, the end of sin
For the sake of the electric beats of her heart
Annihilation stayed his hand
Seeking his exoneration
In her warning reprimand
The roots of the world tree are dying
All runners sent forth to signal the end.
Calling our souls to liberation,
And some to consummation.
The newborn child cried out in my arms
Vibrations untying the air
The voice of a thousand generations
Prophesying an eternal despair
Was it in sorrow for a life once lost
Or perhaps for the journey to come?
For a future of fear and of loneliness
Or the death of the helpless one?
For the gods who hung upon thy trees,
Tribulation
and
Ragnarök
For the burden of sin and
Of impotence
For the suffering
Of the child
For the havoc of woes,
Of being and blood
For the magic of love and
Betrayal
Woe
